Charise Patterson

Charise serves as Sprout's General Counsel, responsible for leading the company's legal program and for overseeing compliance across every part of the business. She brings a strong M&A and corporate law background from Moore & Van Allen and Willkie Farr & Gallagher. She joined Sprout from CAPTRUST, where she served as M&A Counsel and partnered with executive leadership to balance speed, rigor, and long-term value creation. She sees compliance and asset lifecycle discipline as real competitive differentiators, and she integrates Sprout's legal and compliance function into how the business operates and grows rather than bolting it on afterward. Outside of work, she loves to travel and is committed to mentoring law students and newer lawyers, guided by a simple belief: lift as you climb. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Spelman College and a J.D. with a Business Law Certificate from the USC Gould School of Law.
